OUR MISSION
The investment banking recruitment cycle typically commences at the onset of sophomore year, yet the educational system often fails to adequately prepare students for technical interviews due to the advanced nature of finance courses typically taken later in their academic journey. The Purdue Investment Banking Academy addresses this gap by offering comprehensive educational modules beginning in freshman year, ensuring students are well-equipped for the recruitment process.

Our mission at the Purdue Investment Banking Academy is clear: to assist high-achieving students in securing positions at investment banking firms through tailored training and enrichment initiatives. Upon admission, students undergo rigorous technical training, supplemented by mentorship, networking opportunities, and interview preparation sessions, all aimed at enhancing their readiness for the field.
OPPORTUNITIES
The Purdue Investment Banking Academy facilitates annual bank treks to major financial hubs like Chicago and New York City. These treks provide members with invaluable networking opportunities, allowing them to connect with professionals across various organizations, thus enhancing their prospects during the recruiting process. In the past year, our members had the privilege of visiting esteemed institutions such as Lincoln International, Baird, Bank of America, Leerink Partners, Solomon Partners, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and East Wind Advisors. Moreover, our members benefit from exclusive networking opportunities with accomplished Purdue alumni based in Chicago and New York City, providing them with mentorship and guidance as they navigate their career paths in investment banking. In addition to these treks, members also gain access to prominent conferences where they can further expand their network and glean insights from industry leaders.
